Classroom Halloween parties are on Friday, October 30, the last school day before Halloween.
The school’s Halloween parade runs outside from 1:55 to 2:15 PM. Families can watch from around the kindergarten playground off Horne Street. If the weather is bad, there will be no parade.
Classroom parties follow from 2:15 to 3:00 PM. Only room parents attend the parties, up to four per classroom. Room parent sign-up ran through the PTO in September, and other parents can still help with preparations or goody bags through their child’s room parent.
Room parents can arrive at 1:30 PM to set up and help with costumes, after checking in at the office. If you have never had your ID scanned at the school, stop by the office before the party. Younger siblings cannot attend, so plan childcare ahead.
Students bring their costumes to school in a bag. Costumes need to be school appropriate, so nothing violent or scary, no weapons, and no masks. Make-up is discouraged. No food treats will be eaten at the parties or sent home.
